Christiana "Chrissy" Fischer, a NJ native, attended the University of Connecticut where she received her BS in Animal Science and minor in Italian Studies. She attended veterinary school at the University of Pennsylvania. In 2018, she completed a rotating internship at the Center for Animal Referral and Emergency in Langhorne, PA. She then went on to do a residency in Emergency and Critical Care at the University of Pennsylvania. She achieved diplomate status in 2021. She currently serves as the Chief of Critical Care at Metropolitan Veterinary Associates in Norristown, PA. Her clinical interests include polytrauma, respiratory diseases, and electrolyte abnormalities.

Jim Cellini received his DVM from the University of Georgia in 2009. He completed a rotating internship at the Veterinary Specialists of South Florida in Davie, Florida and Neurology Internship at Gulf Coast Veterinary specialists in Houston TX. He then completed his residency at the Animal Neurology and Imaging Center in Algodones, New Mexico in 2016. While there, he met his wife Elizabeth and the two of them moved to Chicago where he joined MedVet as a staff Neurologist and she joined as an emergency doctor. After four years in Chicago, Jim and Liz moved to Rhode Island to be closer to their families and to continue raising their own family. Jim has been working for the last 5 years at Ocean State Veterinary Specialists, a multispecialty referral and emergency hospital with a very busy ER and specialty caseload alongside intern and resident training programs. He enjoys the fast pace and variety of cases seen in private practice and the opportunity these cases provide in regards to teaching interns and residents.Jim is also passionate about using social media as a means to discuss wide ranging topics related to veterinary medicine. This includes animal welfare, addressing the spread of misinformation and pseudoscience in veterinary medicine, veterinary neurology, and the veterinary industry and career as a whole. When not working, he enjoys playing golf, cooking authentic Italian food, traveling with his family, and spending time with his wife and two daughters at the local beach spot near their home in Rhode Island.
